Republicans This Year

David King(alleged raptist) with Ron Johnson & Rebecca Kleefisch

Just here in Wisconsin, we have a Lt. Governor candidate who thinks gay marriage is the equivalent of marrying a dog, a U.S Senate candidate who sides with sexual predators over victims, a gubernatorial candidate who thinks abortion should be outlawed even in cases of rape, and to top it all off, a Secretary of State candidate who allegedly raped and impregnated an unconscious lesbian. In any other year, these candidates would have been laughed off the stage but this "we just need to get everyone out of office" sentiment is going to have some devastating consequences for our beloved State.

Democratic Lt. Governor Candidate Tom Nelson

Tom Nelson is on the live line to respond to his opponent Rebecca Kleefisch's offensive comments about how gay marriage would open the door to marrying tables, clocks, and even dogs. We also talk about how taxes and our structural deficit would fair under a Barrett and Walker administration.

Move To Amend

Kaja Rebman and Bill Tracy of South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend are live in the studio to talk about how amending our Constitution to end the treatment of corporations as individuals is vital to the success of our democracy. The precedent breaking Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. the Federal Election Commission has unleashed a tidal wave of corporately sponsored attack ads from friendly sounding groups like American's for Prosperity. Do not be fooled. More money should never equal more speech. Join the movement and sign the petition at www.scwmta.org.

Minimalist Lifestyle

There is a growing trend of people trying to declutter their life and live with as few material possessions as possible. I personally, like all the crap I have in my life and don't view it as a problem. Are there items that you've been trying to get rid of or is this minimalism trend another example of smug living?

Bob Barr Backs U.S. Senator Feingold

Former conservative congressman and 2008 libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr is on the live line to talk trade, 2nd amendment rights, and why Senator Feingold is a true independent voice for Wisconsin and one of the nation's foremost protectors of the Constitution.

Above is a clip from my interview with Bob Barr where he sums up why we should re-elect Russ Feingold to the U.S. Senate perfectly.

Full Interview with Bob Barr

Lori Wallach - The Rise Of NAFTA And The Devastation That Followed

Public Citizen's and Wausau native Lori Wallach is live in the studio to talk about how trade agreements like NAFTA came into existence and why such deals are a coup d'etat on our democracy. Senator Feingold, who actually read the bill in 1994, realized that the North American Free Trade Agreement was just a huge rewrite of our employment, environmental, and safety laws. If you're wondering why our economy continues to sputter, check out www.citizen.org/trade.

Chad Lee - Republican Candidate For Congress

Chad Lee is live in the studio to talk about what he's learned from local business leaders, taxes, health care, and Lee makes a little news by saying he might not necessarily vote for John Boehner for Speaker, if he is fortunate enough to be elected by Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district.

Smug Slushies

O'Keeffe Middle School, located in the heart of smugland Madison, has ousted their school's slushie machine over health concerns. Madison high schools still dispenses the brightly colored and heavily sugar frozen drinks but they may not be there for long. In order to appease the quicheoise, what alternative ingredients should we put in our school's slushie machines.

Ron Johnson Lies About Immigration

If you listen to my show on the radio then you know Ron Johnson has been running a deceiving, race-baiting ad on Feingold's supposed voted for amnesty for illegal immigrants. The actual vote was hardly an endorsement of the Reagan era policy of granting total amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. This has been a common tactic for the Johnson campaign. Attack Feingold out of context on a obscure vote and offer zero solutions.

Brett Hulsey

77th District Assembly candidate Brett Hulsey responds to Ben Manski's appearance yesterday. We talk more about the Caskville coal plant, endorsements, and his ideas for fixing our broken educational finance system.

Gaylor's New Offensive Billboards

Freedom From Religion and that awful woman Annie Laurie Gaylor have put up a new busboard campaign to encourage atheists to "come out" and be proud of their godlessness. Gaylor loves to play the victim card but can you really say that atheists/humanists/agnostics are an oppressed minority in Madison?

Oklahoma Mothers

Oklahoma Republican candidate for Governor Mary Fallin has played the mommy card against Democratic opponent Jari Askins, who is unmarried and childless. The media is focusing on the tangential issue of whether being a mother would make for a better governor, but I believe Fallin is up to a more a devious trick.

One Week To Election Day

Just one more week of campaigning to go and it was a busy day on Sly in the Morning. We talk to Democratic candidate for Governor Tom Barrett, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, and Green Party candidate Ben Manski who is vying to beat Brett Hulsey in the contentious 77th district assembly race.

We talk pay lanes, attack ads, and Walker's surprising stance on women's issue with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

Tammy Baldwin joins me to talk about her reelection campaign to represent Wisconsin 2nd Congressional district.

The Green Party's 77th District Assembly Candidate Ben Manski is live in the studio and he's fired up.

Republicans' Number One Priority Is To Make Obama A One Term President

Top Republican Senator Mitch McConnell when asked what the GOP's priorities would be if they retake Congress, said their number one goal would be to ensure that Barack Obama was a one term president. Not creating jobs, not national security, not fixing the economy, not even reinstating the Bush taxes. The Republicans have made it perfectly clear, if you put them in charge their goal will be to destroy President Obama and to make the rich even richer.

Rojo vs. Russ: The Final Debate

We recap the final debate between plastics millionaire Ron Johnson and U.S. Senator Russ Feingold. I was at this debate and as I was leaving I heard one woman say, "see what happens when a socialist debates a capitalist?". I listened to Russ Feingold's answers on creating jobs and supporting small businesses and I don't understand how anyone could possibly come to the conclusion that he's anti-business or a marxist. As Senator Feingold's points out, it isn't capitalism vs socialism, its Main St. vs multinational corporations. I guess siding with Main St. makes you a socialist these days.

Scott Paul: Johnson On Trade

Scott Paul from the Alliance for American Manufacturing joins me to break apart Ron Johnson's spacious reasoning and outright lying when trade was being discussed during Friday's Senate debate. Saying "fair" versus "free" trade won't bring the jobs back from China Ron. It won't disguise your ignorance on trade either.

Juan Williams vs NPR

Well it didn't take long for Juan Williams to shed the veil of liberalism that FOX cloaked him in and go full force over his former employee NPR. While I don't agree with NPR firing him over his fear of Muslims (they should of fired him for being boring), embracing FOX as a basin of fairness isn't a great way to gain credibility.

Kurt Schlicht: Republican Senate Candidate For 27th District

Kurt Schlicht is live in the studio to talk about his campaign to unseat State Senator Jon Erpenbach. We talk jobs, his experience on the County board, and why he thinks he can do a better job than four-term Senator Jon Erpenbach.

Favre's Legacy Forever Tarnished?

Steve Apps - State Journal

Favre nearly pulled off a victory last night but Aaron Rodgers and the Pack overcame the Vikings 28-24. So you'd think the media would of focused on the WINNING team but Favre managed to steal away all of the limelight. When Favre finally does retire, will he be welcomed home or his legacy forever tarnished?

Johnson's Job Interview

When asked during an interview by the University of Milwaukee about homeless vets, Johnson said he didn't know much about the subject and that he didn't think his campaign was about details. Johnson has no shame in admitting that he knows nothing about the issues and thinks that inheriting a plastics company is enough qualification to become a U.S. Senator. The Green-Bay Press Gazette is right, Johnson needs to hit the books before he tries to represent the people of Wisconsin.

State Senator Jon Erpenbach

State Senator Jon Erpenbach is on the live line to talk about what issues his constituents are concerned about and how his opponent's plan to cut taxes for huge corporations and privatize public services will be effect workers in our State.

Representative Sondy Pope-Roberts

I speak to State Rep. Sondy Pope-Roberts about her reelection campaign for Wisconsin's 79th Assembly district. We talk about law enforcement, endorsements, education, and what she will do to get Wisconsin working again.

James T. Harris On Juan Williams' Firing

I speak to conservative talk host James T. Harris about NPR's decision to fire commentator Juan Williams over comments about being scared when he sees Muslims on a plane. We've had quite a few of these stories this year and it seems like no one wants to hear dissenting opinions anymore. Shame on NPR but that doesn't mean FOX should be standing for holy pictures.

Home Churches At The Rise

An increasing number of Americans are deciding to worship not in a church but their living rooms. I for one, will never understand this. I like the crucifixes, the flying buttresses, and the holy ambiance of a big church. Don't you use lose something when you worship in the den?
